Spring break is right around the corner! Here are four updates from your school district:

  1. Spring break is April 3 – 7, and we are back in session on April 10.
  2. The Port Angeles Food Bank is offering a private shopping event for PASD families on Tuesday, April 4, from 2pm-6pm. Click here to learn more!
  3. The 2023-24 School District Calendar is approved and ready for viewing. Check it out here!
  4. Join us on Saturday, April 29, for our 4th Annual School Supply Shred Event! This event is our yearly fundraiser to raise money for school supplies that we will hand out at our Back to School Fair in August! Come out from 10am - 1pm at Steve Methner’s State Farm Insurance office located at 611 E Front St, Port Angeles, WA 98362! $10 suggested donation for three grocery bags of paper.

Black History Month is a time to reflect on and honor our diverse ancestry and history. This time serves as a reminder of the challenges facing all people of color and the ongoing work to eliminate prejudice-based barriers. Despite overwhelming obstacles, African Americans have given people of all backgrounds confidence and courage. There is still more to be done to ensure equality under the law and equal opportunity. Let this month be a reminder that we can appreciate what connects us, regardless of color or national origins, and we move forward in the spirit of the Pledge of Allegiance: "with liberty and justice for all.
