PAHS Play - Little Women little women

The Port Angeles High School Thespian Society will present the play Little Women, adapted for the stage by Jaqueline Goldfinger from the timeless classic written by Louisa May Alcott in 1869. Louisa May Alcott based this novel on her early life during the Civil War era.

This story follows the four March sisters: the tomboy and author-to-be, Jo, the sickly and shy Beth, the graceful and classy Meg, and the spoiled and artistic Amy. All are highly devoted to one another and to their mother, Marmee, who struggles to hold the family together while their father is away fighting the Civil War. As they mature through the years to become accomplished women, we witness their romances with Laurie, the wealthy entrepreneur, and his tutor John, a somewhat bumbling but sweet teacher who has eyes for only Meg.

This performance includes students from the high school and students participating in the Thespian Society and the Drama Club under the direction of Ellyn Doig and her Assistant Director, 9th-grader Molly Beeman. The Stage Manager is 10th-grader Maddison McIntyre, and her Assistant Stage Manager is 12th-grader Francesca Vollmer. Student performers include Madeline Adams, Amalia Bell, Emily Boling, Lillie Commeree, Josey Cooley, Alex Herring Kaylie Mast, Rayna Mathison, Kai Snook, and Berkley Thompson.
